Waiting for the shuttle bus to take us back to our camper, we hike the short Tundra Loop just down-hill from the Eielson Visitor Center in Denali National Park. Mt. Denali sits to the southwest just outside the right edge of this picture, but at this time of day the sun is standing right behind it: not so great to include it in the photo. Fresh snow the night before has blanketed the higher elevations, creating a stark contrast between the bright blue skies above and the muted colors of the tundra.
